During this Holiday Season the small town of Newtown Connecticut has been on the minds of many.  This tragic event has touched us all and people around the world have been sending their condolences to the families of those who have lost so much.  The holiday season is about children and families and spending time together with friends.  It’s a time to slow down and remember how special the people in our lives are and how much we love them.  This year will be very different for many families.  As a parent and a human being I have found it heartbreaking to see the beautiful faces of the children and teachers lost at Sandy Hook Elementary.  I have been trying to find a way that I can send some kindness and help ease the pain for the surviving families and the community who have lost so much.  I have also been thinking of the young boys and girls who will be returning to school after the holiday without so many of their friends.  HLNTV has a great link with ideas on how you can send your support to the community.  My 9 year old daughter and I are making snowflakes to hang in the new classrooms for the young students as they go back to school.  A small gesture but it will be sent with love.   If any good can come out of this tragedy it will be in the amazing support and acts of kindness that people all over the world can send to the town of Newtown, Connecticut.

The following link will help give you ideas on how  you can show your support:
