Mortgage interest rates flatten after small increase

Mortgage interest rates have flattened over the past week after gradually rising over the past month. The 30-year fixed rate mortgage is averaging about 3.5% and is still historically low. Freddie Mac expects rates to continue to increase, but at a more gradual pace. There is still plenty of time to take advantage of these low rates for a home purchase in Florida or to refinance your current loan.
