Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states and in more than 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward this vision by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live.
Scuba4Good was started by G4Good Foundation with the goal of raising money to support adaptive scuba diving in South Florida. Our mission is to make adaptive scuba diving more accessible for any adult, child or veteran with a disability by working with local dive shops, dive instructors and other non-profits to achieve this goal. The Scuba4Good Music Festival is an annual event in South Florida dedicated to raising funds for adaptive diving.
Tuesday’s Children provides a lifetime of healing for those whose lives have been forever changed by terrorism or traumatic loss. Through a time-tested, long-term approach, Tuesday’s Children programming serves and supports our nation’s military Families of the Fallen; builds resilience and common bonds in communities worldwide recovering from tragedies; and keeps the promise to support all those impacted by 9/11.
Right now, hundreds of abandoned dogs are roaming the in the Everglades area of Florida and the surrounding areas of SE Florida. They are hungry, thirsty, injured, sick, pregnant and more. They have been dumped there by their previous owners, often after being neglected and abused for years.
Our mission is to rescue them, bring them back to health, and show them that not all humans are bad, and that love and a warm bed are just around the corner.
Save the Manatee Club was founded in 1981 by Bob Graham, former Florida Governor and U.S. Senator, and singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett. The Club was started with the mission to protect manatees and their habitat. Today, Save the Manatee Club is the world’s leading manatee conservation organization.
PGA HOPE, Helping Our Patriots Everywhere, affords veterans throughout the south Florida community an opportunity to learn the game of golf at zero cost to them. Learning and playing the game of golf is a proven activity which has helped thousands of veterans assimilate into their community through the social interaction the game of golf provides. It is welcoming to veterans with disabilities, enhancing their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
