Lighthouse Point is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The city was named for the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse, which is located in nearby Hillsboro Beach. As of the 2010 census, the population of Lighthouse Point was 10,344. Lighthouse Point is located in northeastern Broward County and is bordered by Pompano Beach to the South and West, and Deerfield Beach to the North. The town is very popular with boaters and fisherman due to it’s close proximity to the inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. Lighthouse Point also has a large number of waterfront properties, with a high percentage of the single family homes located on a canal or the Intracoastal waterway.
