Coral Ridge is one of Fort Lauderdale’s oldest neighborhoods, with a homeowner’s associations that was founded in 1949. Coral Ridge stretches from East Sunrise Blvd., north to East Oakland Park Blvd., and from the Intracoastal Waterway west to the Middle River. Coral Ridge consists of roughly 1,350 single family homes with several duplexes, condominiums, and town houses. Bayview Elementary School is one of the best public elementary schools in South Florida and one of the primary reasons the real estate market has stayed strong in the neighborhood for so many years.
The Coral Ridge neighborhood is surrounded by many convenient businesses. To the North is the Coral Ridge Mall, with Publix and Target as the two anchor stores. To the South is the Galleria Mall, with Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Dillards and Saks Fifth Avenue. There is also a large selection of restaurants in the area, many within walking distance. Coral Ridge has a great small boat launching site at George English Park, one of Fort Lauderdale’s many fine parks. Most of the properties to the East of Bayview Drive are waterfront with direct ocean access. Properties along the Middle River are behind the fixed bridge at Sunrise Blvd. The beaches in Fort Lauderdale and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea are just minutes from any home in this community. Coral Ridge is home of the Coral Ridge Yacht Club and just up the street is Coral Ridge Country Club, the closest golf course to the Atlantic Ocean in Broward County.
